Sugarcane Collins
Friday, August 15th 7:30 pm No Cover!

From Queensland, Australia, Sugarcane Collins recently won Australian Blues Album Of The Year. Coming to Twisp for one night, don't miss the opportunity to see this legendary musician!

Terry Lee Hardesty
Saturday, August 16th 8:30 pm, No Cover.

Terry Lee Hardesty leaving the bright lights of Las Vegas behind him, now makes music from a cabin in the secluded North Cascade Mountains. Terry's fast-living countrypolitan past is present on his album; but so is a gentle serenity that mirrors his current surroundings.
Band History: Terry Lee Hardesty & The Eagle River Band "Lover's Moon" CD recorded Live at "The Red Boot Saloon" at "The Oasis Casino" in Mesquite, Nevada in 1996. This is what Terry Hardesty was doing in Las Vegas when he wasn't performing with music legends like Merle Haggard and Johnny Paycheck. Terry lives like a real mountain man these days with his wife and wolf deep in the forest. There are always the clubs and the music on those weekend nights. Life is good here in the North Cascade Mountains of Washington State. The rivers and creeks are clean and the air is sweet. There are deer, bears, turkeys, geese, and grouse. This is good living up here in a land where people really love the wilderness. So Las Vegas and all the glamour and money is in the past. These are the days of peace and happiness surrounded with the beauty of nature barely touched by the labors of humans.

Locust Street Taxi
Friday, August 22nd 9 pm, No Cover.

Locust Street Taxi delivers an infectiously fun and energetic live show the likes of which no musicologist or behavioral scientist would dare to analyze. In performances throughout the Pacific Northwest the band has proven to possess an irresistible appeal for crowds of all ages, sizes and demographics. The combination of outstanding inspired musicianship, effervescent stage presence and inimitable dance moves provide the exact sort of kick in the pants that people throughout this great country are sorely in need of.

Jim Basnight Band
Saturday, August 23rd 9pm. No Cover

After more than two decades, music remains the mistress of his life for
Jim Basnight. In pop music, rarely are careers measured in decades. Fads come and go. Bands form and split. Today's rising star can be next week's loser-out. But don't bother explaining those odds to Jim Basnight.

A fixture on the Seattle pop scene in the 80s, Basnight is still on the road today with his aptly named Jim Basnight Band, rocking hard and honing his craft. After around 20 years, multiple bands and about 500 songs to his credit, the stanwood resident has demonstrated more staying power than his six-string Fender guitar.

Chris Ayer
Friday, August 29th 8 pm, No Cover.

Winner of the John Lennon songwriter contest, Ayer will be in from Neyw York City. This comes from Chris Ayer's myspace page:

press

"Ayer's effort has it all-tight arrangements, excellent musicality and imaginative lyrics. If you're looking for great music, this is the Place indeed."
- Performing Songwriter Magazine

"This album has that controlled frantic pace, that almost feels like an album exploding from someone's soul... A wonderful album, with some sparks of sheer creative bliss."
- Indie Launchpad

""This is the Place" shows a sophisticated level of maturity for a young singer/songwriter... he's got everything working in his favor. Imaginative choruses and pop hooks that eschew pure infectious melodies. Grab on and hold tight."
- smother.net

"Part street poet, part armchair philosopher, indie singer/songwriter Chris Ayer will leave you smiling whether you feel like smiling or not. You gotta love this guy... This Is The Place is a delightful discovery."
- BuddyHollywood.com
